Emanuele Mengotti, a talented director who comes from Lido di Venezia, chose our masks to realize a trailer called " The Plague Doctor".
It's an ambitious cinematographic project which takes inspiration from the mysterious legends which are tied to Poveglia ; Poveglia is an island placed in the Venetian Lagoon,which is known to have been the scene of obscure events connected to the plague and the madness.
It's a modern story but with different references to the venetian traditios.
The movie is set into the prisons of Venice (inside the Doge's Palace) and in the mysterious island of Poveglia.
This trailer was screened in Hollywood in the famous cinema of Quentin Tarantino, the New Beverly and it has been a succes.
The project is still developing , but it seems that the Mengotti's idea to evoke the legends which are connected to the mask of the plague doctor is coming true.
